Determined to prove himself and step out from behind his family’s shadow, Edward mercilessly pushes himself and his partner, Kadu. The author as way to get you attached to the characters and the way the action and surrounding are describe is very well done. I was very pleased with the story and I had trouble putting my kindle down. I look forward in reading more of Marcus LaGrone's work.Product details

Edward Marcus LaGrone 9781481136976 Books Reviews
I very much enjoyed the book, was unexpected when I picked it up but could not stop reading once I started.
I like the more mature theme of the story. I like the series in general, but its definitely refreshing.
The book was amusing, but a little cliche and forced. I never felt the characters were in any particular danger, as they were fated to be winners, and so they did. Bad guys got what's coming, good guys triumphed. There weren't a lot of major complications to make this not happen. The high power nature of the protagonist makes it difficult to be overly worried for the guy.
Edward is a book with just about anything one could want. There's action, and lots of it; romance, lots of that too; life lessons for young adults delivered from an adult perspective so both can find them entertaining and useful; new concepts, civilizations, worlds, and species I'd love to meet; and last, but certainly not least, a great story that never seems to have a slow spot, the adrenaline just keeps pumping. I've read Edward several times and found new things to enjoy with each reading.
The story's setting is in the same universe as the author's previous book "Dawn". The characters are different from "Dawn", but they are from the same extended family. They were as charming as the characters in the previous book. Again the writing is above average for the genre, but it is not the best. The main problem that I had with this book is that it went from one extreme situation to another extreme situation with very little rest in between. In some ways, it was a testosterone trip. I enjoyed that read, but I was feeling exhausted by the end of the book.
Hangs together as science fiction and has fast moving plot. Both make it better than most anthomorphic stories. Does make the point that family you choose can be better than birth kin. Helen
great anthro fiction, good construction of the universe, and a riveting read. Clever character development. a sensible plot for fantasy, but not over the top outlandish to give 'plausible' feel.
The author as way to get you attached to the characters and the way the action and surrounding are describe is very well done. I was very pleased with the story and I had trouble putting my kindle down. I look forward in reading more of Marcus LaGrone's work.
